Here we introduce properties that share common features with the World Heritage Site inscribed the“Sacred Island of Okinoshima and Associated Sites in the Munakata Region.Holy Islands in Japan and abroad, religious heritage sites with spiritual practices grounded in their own unique beliefs are collected here.When compared and contrasted with similar properties, the unique features of this cultural legacy heritage group become apparent.
