Overview The property is a Hindu cave temple constructed around the 7th century, located in Western India on Elephanta Island, 10 km east of Mumbai Harbor. It consists of seven caves. The three-headed Shiva standing 5.5 m high in the first cave is a masterpiece of Hindu sculpture. The condition of preservation is not good.
