Overview |
The ritual site consists mainly of three gigantic rocks standing side by side on top of the small hill behind the shrine buildings of Ii Shrine. Rituals were held at first by setting an altar in the biggest rock, and later extending the ritual area to the space surrounded by the three gigantic rocks. Since the hill is near a river, the rituals are thought to be held to worship the water source of farming. |
