沖ノ島祭祀の４つの時期区分をふまえる形で、東アジア諸地域との交流の始まり、５世紀の多元的通交と宗像氏に限らない奉祀の様子、６世紀の中央集権体制への胎動と倭王権による外交の一元化、７世紀の東アジアの動乱と北部九州の役割、８世紀以降の後期遣唐使の様相と新羅の動向などを整理し、９世紀末頃までの交流史から見た沖ノ島祭祀の様態を考察する。 |
