Description Metal fixtures that hang from the leather belts that run from the saddle towards the horse’s chest or hindquarters as lavish ornamentation. An engraved gilt bronze plate is affixed with a frame plate to a heart-shaped gilt bronze plate, and fastened with rivets. On the engraved plate, there’s a repeated pattern of a side-facing bird with the head of a man, with both wings and tail spread wide, accompanied by scrollwork, combining to create a magnificent design.
