Overview |
On Tsunoshima Island, in the northwestern part of Yamaguchi prefecture, you can cross Tsunoshima Bridge with a full length of 1780 meters, and at the westernmost point is the Tsunoshima lighthouse, known as the “Climbable Lighthouse.” Tsunoshima Lighthouse was first lit in 1876 and was the first large lighthouse on the Sea of Japan side. It has a height of 30 meters. It’s about 69 kilometers to Okinoshima. To the west-southwest, starting from the direction of Munakata and then moving your gaze to the side, one can see the shape of Okinoshima that conveys the steepness of it’s coast. |
