Overview |
Boasting a stunning overlook, legends of the aptly named 323 meter mountain say that Empress Jingû looked around the Korean peninsula from here, or that it was established as a lookout point in 1586 when the Shimadzu Army assailed Tachibanayama Castle. Records indicate that later it was called Tomidake. To the northwest, Okinoshima Island is visible. (Accepting photo submissions) |
