| Overview |
At the 224m tall summit of Mt. Mitakesan, the highest on Ōshima Island, stands the Mt.Mitakesan ritual site. This is the origin of Munakata Shrine Nakatsu-miya.
From the observation deck at the summit, you can see a wide panorama of the Genkai Sea, starting with Okinoshima Island to the North, and extending to Iki Island and Tsushima Island, and to the South, you can gaze upon the mainland of Kyushu from Kitakyushu to Fukuoka city. |
