Overview |
On a flat area slightly below and to the west of the summit of Mt. Arajiyama, in Fukutsu city, with a height of 249 meters, there are two Shinmon gates lined up by an observation deck. Here one can see a panoramic view of the Genkai Sea, and Okinoshima Island. Mt. Arajiyama, is also called Mt. Tengaiyama, and these two Shinmon gates stand in honor of the ancient Konpira Shrine in the country of Sanuki, from which the tutelary deity was transferred in the 18th century. |
