Overview |
The Jonokoshi site is located in southern Iga Basin at the foot of a hill 170 m high where the river meanders greatly. The site consists of artificial water wells, waterways created by arranging stones to run water from the wells, and ritual remains of an oval square and a rectangular platform surrounded by the waterways. The place is thought to have been plotted as a sanctuary to hold rituals to worship the water source. |
