Overview |
The site is a low-lying place in a coastal sand dune facing the Sea of Japan, considered to be the remains of rituals in which people made fire to welcome back the deities and made offerings to the deities for a long time. The villages of people who made the ritual equipment are thought to have been on the ridge of the sand dune. The rituals are assumed to be related to the nearby ancient shrine of Keta Shrine. |
