Overview |
Ujishima is a small island in the Seto Inland Sea, with a circumference of 4.25 km and located 4.6 km southeast of Obishima. In the sand dunes facing north to the sea in the middle of the island, ritual sites have been found paved with rounded stones the size of a fist or a human head in an area of about 10 m2. From the unearthed artifacts of Narastyle three-colored small jars, it is thought that the rituals had been engaged by the state to pray for maritime safety. |
