Description |
Carved out of abalone shell, there are missing pieces , so that we don’t have the original full figure, but as seen in the one surviving item in full form (pictured lower right), we can infer that the full form was elliptical in shape with a hole opened in either end, that seems to mimic the hemispherical shaped protrusion (button) in the middle of ancient mirrors, leading us to guess that these are imitations of mirrors.
