Description Two kinds of gilt bronze metal fixtures: the metal buckle and the metal ornament at the end of the sash. There are three sash ornaments remained. The sash ornament consists of the metal tip and rectangular metal decorative piece, which are connected together by a hinge. These parts are made by attaching jagged-leaf shaped or cloud shaped engraved plates to a bed plate with rivets, but there’s a layer of mica laminate included between the two plates, and what’s more, on just the leaf shaped engraved parts, jewel beetle wings have been arranged and sealed there. From the engraved pattern, the mica laminate, and the inclusion of jewel beetle wings, we can safely say that this is a masterpiece that achieves its intended effect of being spectacular on multiple fronts.
