| Description |
This is a piece of a bronze mirror that was made in Japan, based on mirrors produced in Tang Dynasty China. While this is just a fragment, it’s believed that the original mirror had a diameter of about 10cm. Tang Dynasty style mirrors were often consecrated at ritual sites in Japan from the Asuka period through the Heian period.
