The area of the ocean known as Kanezaki, separating the Hibiki and Genkai Seas was known for being perilous. This document contains the Emperor’s permission, in response to Buddhist priest Ouamidabutsu’s proposal to create a harbor of refuge in Kanezaki to prevent accidents at sea. |
