Named for the opening lines, this document, starting with “The Story of Creation of Munakata-gu,” was created by recording point by point the construction of the building, the first generation Munakata Daigûji, the area of the enshrinement of the Munakata Goddess, the land of the shrine, subordinate shrines, and Shinto rituals. Based upon the language used in the text, it’s thought to have been written in the early days of the Muromachi period. |
