Description A fragment of three-colored glazed ware from Tang Dynasty China. With applique of the medallion of flower motif on the rim and body area, the fragment of the base tells us that it would be an approximately 25 cm tall, refined long-necked bottle with a base color of green. The rim, which we are able to almost fully recreate, features the use of three different colors to skillfully portray a six-petaled flower. It’s very likely that this was brought back by an envoy to Tang China, and it’s evidence that Okinoshima rituals were of vital importance to foreign exchange during this period.
